ABOUT US
Chicago Military Academy-Bronzeville (CMAB) opened in 1999 as the
first Chicago public school comprehensive military academy for high school students.
It is a multicultural institution located in the Bronzeville neighborhood on
Chicago's near South Side, that accepts both male and female students from throughout
 the city based on application, test scores, grades and letters of recommendation.
Several hundred students apply each year and only 150 are accepted.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND HONORS
One student was named a National Hispanic Scholar.
Three students were Illinois State Scholars.
The Math Team placed first in the Section City Wide Math League.
CMAB exceeded national standards on the Plan Exam and met them on the Explore Exam.
47 % of 87 % of Chicago Military Academy-Bronzeville's (CMAB) first graduating class (2003)
was accepted into college by graduation (earning $1.2 million in grants and scholarships).
One student cadets exceeded standards on the Prairie State Achievement Examination (PSAE).
Band earned second place in the Chicago Public Schools Drum and Bugle Corps.
Choir earned excellent rating at All City Choir Competition.
The CMAB team earned first place in the South Side Sports Challenge Team.
Team earns Third place, City Sports Challenge Team.
Color Guards earned Third place, Chicago Public Schools Color Guard.
Drill team earns First place at Drill Team competition at Malcolm X College.
